Plan E Overview

Take Care of Your Teeth with OHS/CompBenefits and Help Prevent Excessive Costs

It's a widely accepted fact that dental disease is preventable. Dentist stress regular brushing, flossing and periodic check-ups. OHS/CompBenefits makes preventive care affordable. OHS/CompBenefits will enable you to take better care of your teeth, and you'll pay less to do it. You'll get great benefits. You'll save money. You'll help prevent tooth decay and gum disease which could save your teeth.

Dental Access

Dental Access provides the protection, flexibility and the coverage most families desire. The plan offers both in-network and out-of-network benefits, which gives you and your family the ability to receive care from any dentist in the community. While most of the time there will be higher out-of-pocket costs for care obtained out-of-network, Dental Access provides you the comfort of having this flexibility.

In-Network Coverage

In-network treatment and services are provided by private practice dentists who contract with OHS, a CompBenefits Company to care for you and your family. These dentists agree to provide the comprehensive benefits outlined in your Group Dental Benefit Book and to accept the OHS/CompBenefits Fee Schedule. Upon enrolling in Dental Access, you may seek treatment from a participating dentist by selecting a dentist from OHS/CompBenefits' participating Dental Access provider directory. Your participating dentist will charge specific co-payments for covered procedures. This means fewer out-of-pocket expenses for you when using your in-network coverage. When making an appointment, please identify yourself as an OHS/CompBenefits patient and please verify that the dentist participates in the network.

Out-of-Network Coverage

If you should decide to seek dental services outside of OHS/CompBenefits' network of participating Dental Access providers, you would simply receive dental care from any licensed, practicing dentist. You will pay for the treatment rendered, complete a claim form and submit the form to OHS/CompBenefits for direct reimbursement of approved claims. There are no deductibles on dental coverage. A fixed dollar amount is reimbursed for each covered procedure. Please refer to the Out-of-Network Maximum Reimbursement Schedule for additional information. Your responsibility under this option includes any cost that remains after reimbursement and maximum benefit limitations. Your plan also covers a portion of the cost associated with emergency dental care that you may receive from a non-participating provider.
