Extensive publicity and positive patient experience have created the acceptance and growth of laser vision correction. Vision Care, Inc. network doctors help plan members understand this new procedure and provide access to our network of LASIK centers.
Reduced fees
Vision Care, Inc. offers the LASIK procedure for plan members who are nearsighted or have astigmatism and wear glasses or contacts.** VCI has contracted with one of the finest LASIK facilities and eye doctors to offer both Conventional and Custom Lasik at substantially reduced fees. The maximum fee payable by a member who is a qualified candidate for LASIK shall be no more than $1,600 per eye for Conventional LASIK, and $ 2,100 per eye for Wavefront LASIK. Wavefront LASIK, the most advanced technology correction is indicated for patients with significant corneal irregularities.
Quality providers
VCI selected providers to work with us in this program based upon their LASIK experience and quality results. All providers of the LASIK procedure are board-certified ophthalmologists who work in the most advanced LASIK facilities.
Easy access to service
During your comprehensive eye health examination, your VCI doctor can determine if you are a candidate for LASIK. If you qualify, the doctor can also make arrangements for the procedure with one of the LASIK centers that participates in this program. Plan members can also go directly to AccuVision Laser Eye Center at 550 Biltmore Way, Coral Gables, Florida 33134 or call 1-305-442-4262 for an appointment.
In either case, plan members must first contact VCI either by visiting our Web site ( http://www.compbenefits.com/vci/) or calling VCI's Customer Care Department at 800-865-3676 for a list of providers,� and to receive a RefractiveCare ID card.
