CompBenefits' Enrollment Success Plan Adds Valuable Communications and Best Practice Benefitsfor Employers, Helps Educate Employees

Atlanta, GA, November 9, 2006 – As the open enrollment season for 2007 moves into high gear, human resource managers and consultants are reporting benefit communications challenges as one of their major hurdles this year. CompBenefits, a leading provider of vision and dental plan benefits, is using its Enrollment Success Plan (ESP) to help human resource professionals clearly communicate with employees and easily enroll them in the dental and vision plans offered by their employer.

According to Mr. John E. Lumpkins, Senior Vice President of Sales for CompBenefits, "As a company dedicated to best practices, our Enrollment Success Plan is a proven communications tool that really drives home the benefits of the CompBenefits vision and dental products for employees. Our ESP program ensures a simple, easy to understand enrollment process, along with the vision and dental plans that fit every household's budget."

Adds Mr. Lumpkins, "When it comes to vision and dental coverage, we're confident that both employers and employees will recognize the value that our programs and products bring to their pocketbooks year-round. Our years of experience have taught us the best way to present the savings and protection employees will realize from a CompBenefits dental or vision plan."

According to Aon Consulting's 2006 National Employee Benefits Trend Survey, 92 percent of employers consider employee communication the top priority for this year's open enrollment to be successful. However, only 46 percent of HR executives report having budget dollars to allocate to this complex and important area.

"As the number of companies offering vision and dental grows," says Mr. Lumpkins, "the ability to purchase not just the benefits, but a full-service communications and enrollment program in one package becomes even more valuable to our clients."

Growth in voluntary benefit programs, in which employees pay 100% of the premiums for benefits they purchase, and the trend to place benefits-related decisions into the hands of consumers have increased the importance of an effective communications program with employees. More than two years ago, CompBenefits realized that market conditions were shifting in this area, which prompted the development of the Enrollment Success Plan. CompBenefits' commitment, at the time, was to ensure that the best practices associated with the most successful enrollments would become the standard for all clients.

Because CompBenefits serves a diverse client base, there were many techniques and capabilities to include in the plan. For example, next year CompBenefits will be providing benefits for employees of the federal government, teachers in forty of the nation's largest schools districts, and private sector firms that include both large, multi-national corporations and small businesses.

During 2006, the value of offering the expanded menu of services has come into sharp focus. CompBenefits Account Mangers are now experienced in the use of the Enrollment Success Plan tools and can work quickly with clients to select the components that will be most effective for each customer.

According to Mr. Lumpkins, "In prior years, only our larger clients focused on the Enrollment Success Plan. This year, every organization is seeking extra assistance with communications and enrollment. It's a great feeling to have the knowledge, experience and proven solutions to meet our customers' needs in assisting them in achieving a successful enrollment process."
