CompBenefits Announces the Appointment of Mary Kay Gilbert to Senior VP of

ROSWELL, GA - July 26, 2004 - CompBenefits, a leading provider of dental and vision benefit plans, announced today that Mary Kay Gilbert has been appointed Senior Vice President of Operations.

Ms. Gilbert will focus on overseeing the company's aggressive growth strategy by managing daily operations, optimizing numerous functions to increase the company's efficiency, and enabling CompBenefits to meet the evolving needs of its customers.

Ms. Gilbert comes to CompBenefits with nearly 25 years of corporate management expertise. Before joining CompBenefits, Ms. Gilbert served as Vice President of Customer Operations at Cox Communications in New Orleans, where she oversaw the company's customer care activities while helping the company launch several new products. Prior to Cox Communications, Ms. Gilbert was a Vice President at Walt Disney Parks and Resort, managing the company's Disney Reservation Center, which delivers annual gross sales of $1.5 billion. While with AT&T, Ms. Gilbert led the design, launch and management of the Universal Card Services business, successfully securing the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for that effort.
