CompBenefits to Provide Dental Insurance for New Federal Employee Dental and Vision Benefits Program;Regional Firm Aims to Help Millions "Brush Up" on their Dental Insurance Plans
Atlanta, GA, September 5, 2006 – CompBenefits has been awarded a seven-year contract by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to provide dental insurance for active and retired government employees eligible for coverage under the new Federal Employee Dental and Vision Benefits Program. This is the first year federal employees have had the opportunity to use pre-tax dollars to pay for their dental premiums. Those eligible for the program will be able to enroll in the CompBenefits dental Advantage plan during open enrollment season beginning November 13th through December 11th of this year, with the coverage becoming effective on December 31st. CompBenefits will work closely with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to ensure employees have every opportunity to learn about this new program. Among the efforts underway is the development of a website specifically for Federal Employees to learn more about the CompBenefits dental Advantage plan.
