Kirk Rothrock Named Chairman of CompBenefits
Atlanta, GA, June 14, 2006 - CompBenefits announced today that Kirk Rothrock, its President and CEO, was named Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors effective May 3rd.
Mr. Rothrock replaces David Klock, who will remain as a Director and Chairman Emeritus. "The success that Kirk has achieved as President and CEO of CompBenefits clearly indicates to us his leadership capabilities and effectiveness," says Scott Hilinski. "We are very pleased with his appointment as Chairman of the Board and look forward to a continued bright future for the company as a result of expanding Kirk's role."
Rothrock joined CompBenefits as President in 2003 and became CEO in July 2004. Since that time, he has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit and process management style that is a driving force behind the Company's focus on organic growth, operational excellence and financial rigor.
Rothrock has 20 years of experience in health care and employee benefits, including sales, sales management, product management, operations management, provider contracting and management and administration.
Prior to joining CompBenefits, he served as President of Intracorp, where his focus on sales and account management processes ultimately drove company earnings to record levels from 1999 to 2002. Before joining Intracorp, he was Senior Vice President for Humana, where he managed a variety of specialty benefits. Previously, he served as a Senior Vice President for Managed Care at Employers Health Insurance and as Executive Director of The Health Insurance Plan of California.
Mr. Rothrock has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Pennsylvania State University.
